About the product
Our Solar Traffic Huts are made from a lightweight material that makes it easy to manoeuvre, strong and easy to clean.
The construction and design make the units as simple as possible to both move and operate. With all the electronics safely housed in the center compartment under lock and key the chances of damage to the unit is greatly decreased.
The way the unit works is with a solar controller that switches between charging mode (daytime) and discharge mode (night-time). During the day the 180 watt solar panels give power to the solar control unit which in turn charges the 102aH Deep cycle batteries, runs any radios and any additional power sources that the Hut has. During the evening the 102aH deep cycle batteries discharge , run into the solar controller which in turn powers any lights , radios and other items that the hut needs to give power to.
At night the solar hut is well lit and east to see. Lighting is placed as to make sure the batteries last all night while still delivering the needed light for the unit. In addition there is a power supply for a two way radio should the need arise.
Inside the control box a simple 2 way switch has been mounted for switching between Red and Green signals. This signal light is mounted either on the outside of the unit or on a free standing pole.
